Gina & Phil
This lucky couple had the warmest sunniest April day I can remember, the weather just couldn’t have been kinder particularly as they planned on walking from the Castle into the centre of the village which is about half a mile after canapés and champagne in the grounds of the Castle, Gina had a quick shoe change for this and donned the sun shades, we didn’t think we would be needing those but hey presto, the Cumbrian weather came up trumps. I was only with this couple for 4 hours as it was a smaller midweek wedding and they received their images edited and on a USB, these are just some of them but please take a look at my prices on the drop down menu for details of this if it could be a useful option.
If you are worried about the weather then venues such as Greystoke Castle are a great insurance for you. The architecture i.e. sheltered doorways and huge windows and staircases give your photographer great material to work with if you simply cant get outside. Another tip is to hire some white brollies, you can get these on the internet or even buy them on eBay these days, no need to colour coordinate here, classic white is best as they pop out against the dark buildings or hills in the background but it does mean you can still take the bridal party out for a few shots to show off your venue even in the rain and its a nice job for the ushers too, to keep dry the bridesmaids and guests as they walk up church paths etc. makes them instant gentleman and gets the couple some lovely pictures. Win win.
