Katherine & Stuart
Katherine got ready at the family home and just walked down the drive to her Church wedding, which can’t have been more the 200 yards away. The Church itself perhaps not the most glamorous or ornate, after all we English came and plundered most of the wealth from the Scottish Churches centuries ago so they are often simpler and more pared down than those South of the Border. Anyway that’s not to say this wasn’t a glamorous affair. Katherine chose a soft lemon for her bridesmaids, which worked brilliantly with the pink of her flowers. After the ceremony we organised the guests to line the path for a confetti run, a great photo opportunity and lots of fun, another tip, buy confetti cannons these are like giant party poppers full of confetti and guarantee a great explosion of colour, don’t rely on guests bringing confetti as they rarely do so buy your own and let the ushers do the honours they love it. Rose petals may sound a good idea but don’t work well in final photographs, as they are too large and obscure your face. A brief photo shoot for the couple and bridal party at Drumlanrigg Castle then back for more wonderful Bakerwood canapés, these are very special followed by speeches and the breakfast. A great day, lacking in Sunshine perhaps but colour and smile everywhere.
